There's a considerable gap in the VR market that the new Oculus Quest – set for a Spring release at $399 – is looking to fill. Designed for. This is not your father's Robo Recall. That game is on the Rift. This is Robo Recall: Unplugged for the Quest. Contingencies were made. To say the game is watered down would be a major understatement. I honestly didn't play this game much because I was so disappointed with the visuals. Here's the thing though. The gameplay is still there.
After just a few months of work, the talented team at Drifter has done a sterling job, however, the proof is in the playing. Hopefully, we will see more videos released from the Quest version of the game prior to its launch – today would be an ideal time for today’s #QuestCountdown.Robo Recall was demoed to the press during GDC 2019, so that helps to encourage the game’s readiness for the Oculus Quest launch. Also note that its original developer, Epic Games, handed over this port over to Drifter, meaning their team is hard at work with their next game, likely a sequel perhaps?
